Try the next version early

Put yourself on Beta from Settings to get new features a week or two early — same stash, same account — and step back to Production any time.

What you'll end up with

Your account on Beta: the next version of Stashery, a week or two before everyone else, working on the same stash and the same account. Nothing is copied or moved. If Beta is ever rougher than you'd like, one press takes you back to Production, the version everyone gets.

Steps

  1. Open Settings from the menu under your name, then Early access (under Account). The page shows which version you're on: Production or Beta.
  2. Press Try Beta. Stashery reminds you that you'll be asked to sign in again on the beta site — same email, same password.
  3. Press Take me to Beta. Beta has its own web address, so you land on its sign-in page. Sign in once, the same way you always do.
  4. You're on Beta. An amber bar across the top of every page says Beta, so you always know which version you're looking at.
  5. To go back, press Back to Production on that bar (or on the Early access page). It takes you straight back to the normal site, with no questions.

What you'll see

While you're on Beta, the Early access page adds a What's in this beta card listing what's newer than Production. Opening the normal Stashery address takes you to Beta automatically until you switch back, so a bookmark keeps working.

For now Beta is for the website. Switching inside the iPhone, iPad or Android app is turned off on the current app builds; the app says so on the Early access page and suggests using Beta in your browser.

If something goes wrong

Beta won't load at all.
Open stashery.wyco-digital.com/?channel=prod in your browser. That puts your account back on Production, whatever state Beta is in.
Beta asks me to sign in again.
That's expected the first time: it's a separate address. Use the same email and password as always. Coming back to Production doesn't ask again.
"Beta is paused for now."
Ben has paused Beta while something is fixed, so everyone is on Production for the moment. Nothing has changed in your stash; try again later.
Something on Beta is broken.
Press Back to Production, then tell Ben with Report a problem. That's what Beta is for.
